Angelo Sarno, the founding/managing partner and a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Mr. Sarno has been named to Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 2014 under the category of Family Law. As an experienced litigator, Mr. Sarno has argued successfully before the Supreme Court of New Jersey, establishing important precedent regarding the enforceability of oral palimony agreements.

Edward S. Snyder is a founding partner with more than 40 years of experience in matrimonial litigation. He is a recipient of the Saul Tischler Award from the Family Law Section of the New Jersey Bar and has been selected to Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 1993. Mr. Snyder has argued before the Supreme Court of New Jersey on three occasions, including the seminal case addressing the termination of alimony, Konzelman v. Konzelman, in which he represented the winning side.

Jerry S. D’Aniello is the managing partner of the Bridgewater office and practices in all aspects of matrimonial law, including mediation and arbitration. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Matrimonial lawyers – NJ Ch. as well as a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Jerry was included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list consecutively since 2014. Jerry has been recognized under the Family Law, Family Law Arbitration and Family Law Mediation categories and has been named Attorney of the Year in the Woodbridge, NJ area for 2021 under the category of Family Law.

Joseph V. Maceri is a managing partner of the firm’s Hackensack office and dedicates his practice to all aspects of family law. He was selected to Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 2018 in the category of Family Law.

Paul M. da Costa is the managing partner of the Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury practice at Sarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC. He is a certified civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Mr. da Costa is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and a Fellow of the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America. Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is by invitation only and is composed of less than one-half of one percent of all American lawyers. He has been included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 2020 in the categories of Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. 

Stacey A. Cozewith is a partner at the firm who focuses her practice on family law-related matters. She has worked with Angelo and Edward from the beginning having been with the firm since its inception. She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a matrimonial attorney. Stacey is also a certified mediator for the State of New Jersey and has been included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 2020 for the category of Family Law.

Scott D. Danaher is a partner at the firm who joined in October of 2009 shortly after the firm’s inception. Scott has concentrated his entire legal career on divorce and other family law-related matters and was included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list this year for the category of Family Law.

Laura Guinta Gencarelli is a partner at the firm who joined in February of 2014. Laura focuses her practice in Family Law and was included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list since 2020 for the category of Family Law.

Cynthia A. Walters acts as Counsel to the Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury and Product Liability team here at Sarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC. Ms. Walters is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey who was selected by her peers for inclusion in Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list in the field of each year since 2003 in the area of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. Her resolve to help others is reflected in multiple successful verdicts and settlements and precedent-setting Federal and State Appellate Court opinions.

John J. Trombadore is Of Counsel for the firm and has been included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America List consecutively since 1993. John has been recognized in the areas of Arbitration, Family Law, Family Law Mediation and Mediation. In addition, he is Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, Emeritus; Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney; Certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as a Divorce Mediator. John Trombadore has played a significant role in the advancement and improvement of divorce and custody law in New Jersey over the past four decades.

Hon. Thomas P. Zampino (Ret.) is Of Counsel for the firm. Prior to that, he served as a Family Court Judge for over two decades. During part of his tenure, he also served as Presiding Judge of the Family Court. Since his appointment to the bench in 1989, he has settled or decided thousands of divorce cases. Judge Zampino (Ret.) received the 2017 Serpentelli Award presented by the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He was included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list this year under the categories of Family Law Arbitration and Family Law Mediation.

Michael J. Stanton is Of Counsel for the firm and has been included on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America List consecutively since 2005 in the category of Family Law. He is a Certified Matrimonial Law Arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In 2010, he was selected by the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association to receive the Saul A. Tischler Award, a prestigious lifetime achievement award, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the practice of family law. In addition, he is trained as a Matrimonial Law Mediator and has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for over twenty years.

Charles C. Abut is Of Counsel for the firm and a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Mr. Abut is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial lawyers and has made television appearances on ABC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNBC. In addition to his extensive experience in all aspects of matrimonial litigation, he has successfully mediated and arbitrated hundreds of cases. Mr. Abut has been named on Woodward White’s The Best Lawyers in America list consecutively since 1999. He has been recognized in the areas of Arbitration, Family Law, Family Law Mediation and Mediation.
