Overview
Thomas Paciorkowski is Of Counsel to Sarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC and devotes his practice to consumer protection litigation with a concentration on consumer class actions. His extensive experience in the field of consumer protection helps ensure his clients receive the strong, strategic legal counsel required to protect their rights and safety.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Thomas owned and operated Accurate Investigations, a private investigation firm licensed with the New Jersey State Police. As a private investigator, Thomas conducted thousands of investigations for corporate clients for more than 15 years.
An experience with a car dealership in his 20s created an interest in consumer interest law, and from there, Thomas has developed a passion for protecting consumers from dishonest business practices. His creativity, combined with his ability to think outside the box and attention to detail, enable him to advocate fiercely for his clients.

Representative Cases
Thomas spent the last 15 years standing up to big businesses and protecting the rights of his clients. He originated a nationwide consumer class action against automotive parts retailer Pep Boys for charging consumers more than advertised for in-store oil changes. The litigation resulted in a settlement of approximately $1 million, where Pep Boys refunded overcharges to consumers and agreed to change its marketing practices.
Thomas also originated a nationwide consumer class action case against lighting manufacturer Sylvania for misrepresenting the performance of its premium automotive headlamps. The litigation resulted in a settlement of $30 million, and partial refunds were issued to consumers.
