Overview
Alec Mais is an associate in the Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury department at Sarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC. Alec graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law with a concentration in health law. While in law school, Alec received the Trustees Scholarship and a scholarship from the American Board of Trial Advocates. These scholarships were both merit based. Alec was the Editor in Chief of the Seton Hall Law Health Law Outlook and had his paper on medical malpractice published in Health Law Outlook. Alec was also the President of the Seton Hall Law Health Law Forum and was selected to participate in the Denis F. McLaughlin Advanced Trial Advocacy Workshop. Alec completed externships at the United States Attorneys’ Office and the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
Alec started at Sarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC as a law clerk while in law school. Alec is passionate about law and medicine based on his previous experiences in the healthcare field. Alec has been an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for over thirteen years. Alec is the co-author of three medical journal articles in the field of cardio-thoracic anesthesia. Prior to law school Alec worked in the office of medical education at an Ivy League hospital and medical school where he developed and executed simulation based trainings for doctors, nurses, medical students, and other staff.
