Following the recalls of major car manufacturers that we recently blogged about, it seems that the American-made manufacturer, Ford, is also experiencing problems with its automobiles that could potentially lead to future recalls. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has begun an investigation of the steering system in Ford cars.
The investigation involves approximately 500,000 cars, including 2004-2007 Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, and Marauders models. The problem involves the steering system’s heat shield, which can rust, dislodge, and jam the entire steering system. Thus far, NHTSA has received 5 complaints regarding the steering, including one case where the defect caused the steering to jam and the car to roll over, causing significant injuries.
If you have experienced injury as a result of an automobile accident, you can get compensation for the harm caused, especially if the injury was a result of a defective product in the car. The personal injury lawyers atSarno da Costa D’Aniello Maceri LLC can help. Contact us today at 973-274-5200.
