If you have a child support order in New Jersey, chances are you’ve logged into the New Jersey child support website to track your case information. Now, according to NJ.com, there is a new way to check the status of your child support order. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, you can download the NJ Child Support Case Information application, better known as an “app.”
You can use the app to retrieve your case information and view many details about your child support order. Detailed information within the app is found in different sections of the app, including information about your case generally, obligations and arrears, schedules, disbursements, and genetic tests. So, you can use the app for a variety of purposes, including checking your payment status, tracking disbursements, monitoring enforcement actions, scheduling hearings, finding the child support office closest to you, and more. The app cannot, however, be used to actually make child support payments, only to view details.
The best part about the app is that it is free and is updated daily, so your case information is always current and up to date.
The app is relatively new, having been launched for iPhones in January and for Android in April. Since the app has become available, 2000 people have downloaded it. Although this seems like a large number, it is only a small fraction of the 400,000 child support cases in New Jersey.
The app is an easy way for a person always on the go to be able to keep track of their case information and make sure that they are up to speed on everything going on in their case.
