While Flying High At Hollywood Walk of Fame Induction, Bobby Flay Crashed When a Bombshell Dropped
According to a Page Six report, celebrity chef Bobby Flay got an unwelcome surprise at his induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 2. As he accepted his star as the first chef to be inducted, a plane flew overhead with a banner that read “CHEATER.”
Flay and his actress wife Stephanie March are in the midst of a contentious divorce after 10 years of marriage. March plays ADA Alexandra Cabot on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. March denies any involvement with the banner. However, the divorce appears to have been sparked by Flay’s alleged affair with his 28-year-old assistant, Elyse Tirrell. Tirrell worked as a hostess at Flay’s Bar Americain before becoming his assistant.
The couple is fighting bitterly over a prenuptial agreement. As per their prenup, Flay, who is reported to be worth an estimated $20 million, only has to pay March $5,000 per month in alimony. March claims that she is the secret sauce behind her husband’s success, and therefore she should be entitled to more money from him. She has returned a check Flay sent her under the prenup arrangement, asserting that their prenup is unenforceable.
Flay is asking the court to uphold the prenup. The prenup contains no infidelity clause, so Flay’s alleged affair should play no role in the court’s decision. The court has not reached a decision yet.
